10 Self-Hypnosis Affirmations That Relax You By Goulie Scheer

Imagine this. You come back home after a long day at work or you are at home all day juggling between the kids and the chores you have to do.

But then it’s evening, which carries a promise of peace and quiet, relaxation and recharging. Sound great?

Well, after dinner and putting the kids to sleep or finishing emails or whatever, you can indulge in a time that is just for you - relax and get in touch with yourself.

You will be surprised how 20-30 minutes could change your evening and set the ground for a good night sleep.

You may have been curious about SELF-HYPNOSIS or you may not have but give it a chance and feel what it is and how it can serve you.

You can do it anytime, but at the end of the day is a good time to experience it for the first time.

"During SELF-HYPNOSIS, AFFIRMATIONS will be heard and delivered to one’s unconscious mind."

Just sitting down, closing your eyes and allowing yourself to relax can bring peacefulness and calmness to you.

Visualize or imagine a beautiful golden, soft light that surrounds your body, protecting you and it’s getting into your body, and spreads within you.

Feel it moving into those areas where you carry tension or need healing. You can move it wherever you wish or need.

You feel so happy and protected and its energy is so great. Add some AFFIRMATIONS and feel them as if it’s happening right now.

You're in a time and place that lets only goodness come in.

It’s up to you if you want to drift into a blissful sleep or enjoy the rest of the evening.

If you don’t drift to sleep, you will feel awake, alert, happy, but relaxed at the same time, and in full control of your body and mind.

What is SELF-HYPNOSIS?

Well, there are four basic forms of hypnosis.
  • Traditional hypnosis relies on commands and suggestions from another person. It is the basis for stage hypnotism.
  • Ericksonian hypnosis uses metaphors of stories with a moral. One׳s subconscious mind makes a comparison between the moral of the story and the issue or problem that he or she is facing. The subconscious mind also processes the messages of the metaphors.
  • NLP hypnosis is the most effective form of hypnosis. It uses the same thought process as fear or problems to reverse or get rid of the problem.
  • SELF-HYPNOSIS, performed by one’s self, allows the mind to relax and reach a hypnotic state.

During SELF-HYPNOSIS, AFFIRMATIONS, suggestions or commands will be heard and delivered to one’s unconscious mind.

When listening to AFFIRMATIONS during SELF-HYPNOSIS, it is important to choose only the AFFIRMATIONS that will best serve you at the time.

Using those AFFIRMATIONS over and over can reinforce their content and be very powerful.

A ThinkUp app is a great option for hearing your personal affirmations - in your own your own voice - during SELF-HYPNOSIS.

As an NLP and Hypnosis Practitioner, I see amazing changes occurring over and over again in people’s lives using these methods.  The greatest part is that it seems effortless but yet is very effective!

I am sure that SELF-HYPNOSIS combined with personally recorded AFFIRMATIONS through ThinkUp could be very powerful and enjoyable for everyone!

Here are 10 great AFFIRMATIONS to try while exercising SELF-HYPNOSIS.

  1. As I look back on today I’m grateful to have lived this day.
  2. My mistake is becoming a learning opportunity.
  3. My challenges are the paths for growth.
  4. Joy and calmness are taking over.
  5. I see how far I have come and believe I am willing to go further to reach my goals or dreams.
  6. I let go of wasteful thinking or dwelling on the past.
  7. I let go of any anxiety or fear and welcome peace of mind.
  8. I trust that everything in my life is a divine order.
  9. I am grateful for all I have in me and the potential to use it to the best I can.

tactics to dream big

Tactics to Make This Your Breakout Year and Dream Big By Sheryl Kline

Learning how to dream big is no joke if you want to next level what matters most.Consider the following, and start thinking about YOUR big dream:

  1. In 1976, Steve Wozniak shared with Hewlett Packard (his employer at the time) the idea
of creating a personal computer. He was rejected. So he and his friend Steve Jobs got
to work themselves on their dream of individual creativity for each user
  2. Martin Luther King had a dream that someday there would be equality for all.
  3. When Michael Phelps was 7 years old, he had a dream that there were no limits on
    what he could achieve.
Is there anything big or small that you dream of doing? Maybe a trip, running a half
marathon, a career change? The books Peak and Talent Is Overrated are just two (but
impactful) books that have proven over and over that you are only limited by what you
think is possible. So start dreaming big!
    Why is this SO important?

Believe It and Become It.

When we believe something is possible, our awareness goes from narrow to broad. In
other words, we become more aware of opportunities. We are also more likely to take
action. believing is the first step.

The Science Says So!

Part of our brain, the Reticular Activating System (RAS) helps us make our conscious
thoughts a reality. The RAS acts as a filter and decides which information is important,
and which isn’t. Utilizing its full potential can contribute greatly to you living the life you
want ... or being stuck in a terrible routine. That is right, it can backfire, so make sure
your thoughts are positive and encouraging!
Great, but how?

Dream Big. Do Small.

Get comfortable giving up control of whether or not your big dream will happen. What?
Yep, if you are able to do this you will be better equipped to stick with the process. It's
consistency that wins. Focus your day to day efforts on controllable, and get
consistent. Very consistent.

Affirmation reminders app

The Significant Benefits of ThinkUp affirmation reminders

The irresistible allure of the forbidden is something that has haunted humanity from the beginning of time, and we have always needed reminders that intervene and extricate us from falling into hedonistic routines or to nudge us onto the better path. And this divine reminder has come to you in the form of ThinkUp affirmation reminders! Subtle yet impactful, ThinkUp is what you need to remember what is important and what is right, to remind you to want what you want badly enough, and to tell you that even when life has beaten you down to pulp and you feel like all hope is gone and you are ready to give up, that is when you have to take that one next step, because victory is right around the corner.

ThinkUp can impact your life psychologically and physically in the best way possible:

You can integrate healthy habits into your lifestyle

We all know that we have to eat healthily, yet we don’t. We all know that we have to drink around two liters of water a day, yet we don’t. ThinkUp affirmation reminders will help integrate such healthy habits into your daily routine. By repetitive viewing and adherence, you can manipulate your subconscious into involuntarily following a wholesome schedule.

Once you’ve become habituated to a particular action, you can replace those reminders with others for different habits. ThinkUp reminders will help you to grow into a better person.

You can raise your motivation and develop a positive mindset

Life is full of lows and highs. Even in a single day, there might be times when you are euphoric and times when you are miserable. ThinkUp reminders can give you that everyday push you need to chase your dreams, to reach for the stars. Whenever you feel down, ThinkUp will always be there to remind you that it is not as bleak as you think it is. It’s going to get better. And you can do it.

ThinkUp can train your brain and transform your life!

How to use the ThinkUp affirmation reminders correctly?

As been told ThinkUp affirmation reminders are meant to remind you what is important on daily basis. Your subconscious mind will see this information again and again which makes it easier for you to accept them as part of your new belief system.  By putting ThinkUp reminders at work, at home, on your refrigerator, in your bedroom or on your kitchen counter, you instruct your brain to pay attention consciously and subconsciously to things that your conscious mind decides that they important to you. You will take a look at the ThinkUp affirmation reminders even without paying attention and it will become part of your thoughts and beliefs.

Start to make it a habit

After exposing yourself to an idea (like reminding yourself to breathe or believing in yourself ) and react to it, start to make it a habit. For example, put a reminder that reminds you to drink water on your working table and make a habit to look at the ThinkUp affirmation reminders and drink a sip of fresh water each time you see it. If you would like to release a little bit of tension and you choose to use a breathing reminder, take a look at the reminder on your table, take a big breath and relax your body. After you feel that you have adopted the habit of breathing spontaneously, deep, long relaxing breath and it has become part of your daily habits, you can remove that reminder and let your body breath naturally on its own.

4 steps to use Thinkup affirmation reminders effectively :

  •  Place particular reminders in certain places.(work desk, bedroom, refrigerator and so)
  •  React to them positively as by drinking and breathing in the examples above.
  •  Leave them in place and use them until they become habits.
  •  Replace them with different reminders after each habit is effectively achieved.

Change your thinking patterns and enjoy a life full of freedom.

Affirmations for anxiety

5 Recommended Positive Affirmations For Anxiety by Yvonne Williams Casaus

Sometimes it feels as though anxiety just comes out of nowhere. I myself have struggled with it.Even just recently I woke up in a panic, my mind flooded with thoughts of things I had forgotten to do or had to get done immediately. I got in the shower thinking I would wash away the thoughts, but they just kept coming on stronger and stronger. More and more thoughts of responsibilities, errands, and lists were coming to mind. This was all happening while I was standing in the shower and could not do anything about it. I decided right then that when I got out of the shower I had to stop and listen to my ThinkUp app.

"I found out that saying affirmations for anxiety in your own voice is very effective for reducing the symptoms of anxiety"

Sometimes anxiety is brought on by stress, but for people that suffer from anxiety disorders, it can feel like it comes out of nowhere. It can range from general nervousness to feeling like you are having a heart attack. At times an anxiety attack can be debilitating. In my experience, the key to calming an anxiety attack is finding a way to ground yourself. Self-talk or repeating words or phrases is an extremely useful tool when anxiety strikes. When a person is suffering from anxiety it is hard to concentrate and at times it is difficult to identify what the fear is. Affirmations for anxiety can have a calming effect. Not only are affirmations for anxiety helping change the negative or fear-based belief, but they serve as a distraction. When you have to focus on the affirmation it keeps any racing thoughts at bay.

"As a therapist, I have always encouraged the use of positive affirmations for anxiety."

I found out that saying affirmations for anxiety in your own voice is very effective for reducing the symptoms of anxiety. It helped me while I faced anxiety. I used ThinkUp to relax me in a stressful situation. It is very relaxing to use the recordings I had already made. It brought me back into the present moment and inside wisdom. The soothing background music calmed me down and focusing on my positive affirmations for anxiety helped me push out all the racing thoughts. I was able to ground myself and bring my attention back to the positive beliefs I hold in my heart. It was proof of just how powerful this app can be.

"Positive affirmations for anxiety can help reduce your fear and replace your fear with more positive thoughts"

As a therapist, I have always encouraged the use of positive affirmations for anxiety. They are an especially useful coping tool for someone struggling with anxiety. Think of affirmations as a way to replace a negative belief with a more positive belief. When it comes to anxiety, affirmations are useful because they can refocus your attention from the racing or intrusive thoughts that are entering your mind. Although negative thinking is not anxiety, when an anxiety attack occurs, you are often having a flood of negative or fear based thoughts.

Affirmations for anxiety

Positive affirmations for anxiety can help you not only reduce your fear but replace your fear with more positive thoughts and emotions such as confidence, strength, and love. Apps like ThinkUp are easy and powerful ways to change your limiting beliefs and help you reduce and get over your fears. ThinkUp is especially powerful because it uses your own voice.

As a therapist, I use ThinkUp as a resource. You can easily open up an app like ThinkUp and be able to calm an anxiety attack anywhere. If you are prone to anxiety it is helpful to look at some affirmations at a time when you are already calm and pre-record your affirmations. Recording and listening to these positive affirmations for anxiety regularly could not only reduce your anxiety but help you live the life you truly deserve.

Here are 5 recommended affirmations for anxiety:

  1. At this moment, I choose to release the past and look forward to the good that awaits me.
  2. With each new breath, I inhale strength and exhale fear. I am learning that it is safe for me to heal and grow.
  3. At this moment, I choose to feel calm and peaceful. Everything is unfolding as it should.
  4. I choose to fill my mind with positive, nurturing, and healing thoughts.
  5. There are no mistakes, only lessons to be learned. I did the best I could.
A new year's resolution

2018 new year’s resolution with a little help

A new year is right around the corner. It’s the time to celebrate the past year and the approaching year. A new year means new hopes, new dreams, new goals and an opportunity to look at life from a different perspective. It’s a time to reflect on what you have accomplished and what didn’t go so well. As the 2018 new year is soon approaching, most people are clouded by questions and doubts. The new year always makes people wonder and ponder about life.

“Did I like the past year? Did I make a progress?
What mistakes did I make? What lessons did I learn?
What success did I achieve in this past year?
What am I going to do differently next year? What do I want to achieve? “

Do these questions sound familiar? All these are common questions that most people think about. It’s only natural to be surrounded by all these questions at this time.

While it’s good to sit and reflect, it’s even more important to improve and prepare to take on your 2018 new year’s resolution actions with a fresh wave of positivity, and build a new you by changing the way you think. Positivity is the necessary attitude to leading a happy and fulfilling life.

Life is filled with ups and downs, and now is the time to perceive it differently, in a more positive way by teaching and training your brain and body to think differently.

How you perceive the outside world has a direct impact on your reality; if you perceive things with an open and positive attitude your life as a whole will become more positive. It’s all about the way you perceive a situation and what you choose to look at. A positive attitude is an adopted attitude; something that needs to be practiced and worked on. No one is born positive or negative; it’s a choice that one makes. Life is all about the choices you make at every step.

The opportunity to choose a new mindset by repeating the same set of affirmations is made easy with the ThinkUp app. By recording affirmations in your own voice and adding your favorite music, they are 10X times more effective. Listening to your personalized meditation before going to sleep will help your brain rewire itself and change the way it thinks.

It is a way to change unwanted habits to healthy ones and keep you focused on the important things in your life, eliminating your distractions and fears.

Via the ThinkUp app, you can make your 2018 new year’s resolution come into reality easily and have a much more positive and meaningful year.

The Power of Gratitude

An Attitude of Gratitude makes Life Beautiful and Meaningful...
Gratitude is the ability to say ‘Thank You’. To be thankful for what you have and thankful for the
wonderful opportunities life has presented to you. It is the ability to connect with yourself and
make the heart and the mind work on the same frequency. It means that you did something
right or you are at a level of energy where something works for you.

Why do so many researchers and studies show that practicing gratitude increases the level of happiness?

When you focus on the things that you are grateful for, you increase your level of energy and
allow more good things to walk into your life. When you practice gratitude every single day,
you increase your level of energy on a daily basis and then you start to magnate different
positive things into your life. Therefore, when you make this a daily practice you do not allow anything to “disturb” your calmness, and you unlock the code to happiness.

You don’t depend on the outside world for happiness and your happiness is steady and
completely in your control.

In addition, no one or no outside situation can harm you. Such a state of mind, makes you feel secure in the world. You have true happiness within you and no situation or no person can change that.
The secret is the balance between thinking and feeling. When you think of something pleasant
your body starts to react to it. So every positive thought filled with gratitude increases the level
of serotonin in your body and “opens your heart”.

Gratitude category in ThinkUp app

The Challenge of filling yourself with gratitude

The challenge is to start being grateful and thankful for all the wonderful things you have around you instead of focusing on the things that you don’t have. By practicing gratitude on a daily basis you can change the way you think and feel, and reprogram your mind, ultimately increasing your level of positive energy.
The final challenge is to start being grateful and direct your feelings positively towards the
things you don’t have. If you know how you feel when you have something or achieve
something, direct this feeling to every area in your life and achieve your desires by practicing
gratitude. In this case, gratitude means to be thankful for a future that is yet to manifest. When
you live a life of gratitude you unlock true happiness and begin your journey towards fulfillment.

Gratitude affirmations that I really like

1. I am grateful for my life’s challenges for helping me grow and become who I am.

2. I am grateful for the chance to become healthier, through diet, exercise, and healthy routines.

3. Every day I am becoming more and more grateful for what I have in my life.

4. I am grateful for the love in my life for letting me feel what it means to truly be alive.

5. I am grateful for the roof over my head and my warm home.

Powerful affirmations

Powerful Affirmations for Success By Daphne Wallbridge

It is four o'clock in the morning. Most people might think I'm crazy
to be up this early. But for me, this time is sacred. It's quiet in the house. I can focus with no interruptions. I have the freedom to explore my thoughts and ideas or I can just sit in silence and
relish my solitude.

Daphne, every day, you are taking the steps you need to live a
life filled with meaning and purpose. Your work devoted to
women's self-leadership is helping thousands of women flourish
and thrive."

Therefore, I have a ritual and I never deviate from it. I’m like an athlete preparing for an event. I sit at my desk and get ready to start my morning ritual. I turn on my essential oil diffuser and breathe in its
pure, therapeutic fragrance. Then, I launch into what I call my morning ‘power hour’ which sets the stage for the day ahead. My power hour is devoted to gratitude, journaling, learning, and
visualization. But there is one practice in particular that I find incredibly beneficial to my spiritual development: Powerful Affirmations
Powerful affirmations are a series of positive statements you say to yourself. Done properly, they have the power to shape your thoughts and rewire your brain so you can become the highest,
the truest version of yourself.
To help you craft your powerful affirmations, I’ve created a five-step process that will help you start on your own journey toward cultivating a powerful, positive mindset.

Powerful affirmations

powerful affirmations for success

Five Steps to Crafting the Perfect Powerful Affirmations

Step 1.

Focus on the details: when crafting your powerful affirmations, make sure to be specific. Write out exactly what it is you are accomplishing, how, and with whom.

Example: [Your name], you are engaging with highly skilled thought-leaders and as a result, you are developing key connections that will allow you thrive and flourish in your
marketing career.

Step 2.

Use action verbs: make sure your powerful affirmations describe a particular action. In doing so, you're sending a signal to your brain that you need to act to get closer to your goal. Craft
every affirmation with action verbs and you'll be on your way to creating a brilliant future.

Example: Engaging, flourishing, connecting, reaching, achieving…

Step 3.

Feel it: don't recite your powerful affirmations like a robot. Rather, take the time to feel your words. Affirmations should be giving you goosebumps and create a sense of genuine hope and
accomplishment. This is the superpower of affirmations. If they aren't stirring you from the inside, change them or tweak them.

Step 4.

Use the second person: as you read or recite your powerful affirmations, do so as if you are talking to a close friend. Life coach and author Brendon Burchard calls this “self-coaching.”
This practice is highly important to prime your mind and to generate self-motivation.

Example: [Julie], every day, you are taking the steps you need to meet your quarterly goal of landing three new clients.

Step 5.

Add visuals: if you want to boost the effectiveness of your affirmations, add an image that reflects the vision of your powerful affirmations. This will help crystallize the affirmation in your mind
and increase its positive effects. Plus, if you're a visual learner, you'll appreciate this extra step.
Although I have several ongoing positive affirmations in my journal, I often go back to this one. Feel free to adjust it to your needs and add it to your collection, or simply draw inspiration
from it.

" Daphne, your thoughts, actions, and words are
aligning with your destiny. You are where you need to be at this
moment in time and you are enjoying the journey to unlimited
growth and success."

In this world in which we are constantly struggling to counter the potential negative effects of violence, war, and chaos, positive affirmations, done daily and mindfully, can prime your mind to be
open and receptive to whatever incredible opportunities may present themselves. They help broaden your awareness and propel you to flourish and thrive.

A call to action…

Take ten minutes out of your busy schedule and craft one personally-powerful affirmation. Start saying it and feeling it first thing in the morning and before going to bed at night. Start and end each day with this positive ritual. Then, wait for the magic to happen.

Best affirmations for teens

Affirmations for teens by Claire Ketchum

Positive affirmations for teens aims to help teens rewiring their brain and help them deal with their daily lives.
Teens are more susceptible to peer pressure and make more shortsighted decisions than adults for several reasons. First of all, their prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain which helps moderate emotional and impulse control, is not fully developed until the early to mid-twenties. In addition, they are more interested in their peers' opinions than their parents or other adults. They also worry about what other people think of them which decreases their self-esteem. Lastly, their subconscious thoughts control up to 95% of teen’s habits and behaviors. All these reasons make it more challenging for your teen to make decisions. With every decision, they throw them into the Chronic Stress Loop. This is exactly why developing a positive affirmation for teens is a strategy every teen should develop.

Positive affirmations for teens aims to help teens rewiring their brain and help them deal with their daily challenges.

Positive affirmations for teen help teens rewire their brain. This will help your teen break out of the Chronic Stress Loop. Doing so, they can confidently make smarter decisions, manage expectations better, experience more success and be happy and healthy in school and beyond. Let’s take a look at what the shift might look like.

Teens' prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain which helps
moderate emotional and impulse control is not fully
developed until the early to mid-twenties.

Teens have stressful throughout the week. While they get ready for school in the morning they might think, “I wish my hair was straight like hers. My hair is disgusting.” During school, they might think, “I am going to fail that test. I am so bad at math.” When faced with a choice to smoke or drink they might think, “I better say yes. I don’t want to look like a kid. I want people to like me.” These thoughts are not helping your teen make smart decisions.

Best affirmations for teens

What if you could help your teen shift these thoughts with positive affirmations for teens. Let's imagine your teen thinks “My effort is a greater determinate of my success than my aptitude. I consistently do my best each and every day.” Or, “My goals and aspirations are important to me, and I easily ignore peer pressure and make decisions based on what is best for me.” Moreover, “I am beautiful, and I choose to release the desire to change my physical traits because I am perfect exactly how I am right now.” Do you see how positive affirmations for teens could make a big impact on your teen’s self-confidence and navigate peer pressure better?

“My goals and aspirations are important to me,
and I easily ignore peer pressure and make
decisions based on what is best for me.”

You might be thinking, “This sounds great, but I am never going to get my teen to say or remember those affirmations.” This is why I recommend the ThinkUp App to all my teen clients. The ThinkUp App allows your teen to search a directory of positive affirmations in categories like self-confidence, gratitude and overcoming anxiety and stress and pick around 15-20 to add to their favorites. Then they record their personal affirmations and choose background music. Since the affirmations are in their own voice, it is a powerful tool to help your teen develop a positive mindset, remain confident and make smart decisions.

Claire Ketchum's experience:

Some of my teen clients were resistant at first, but once I helped them set up the ThinkUp App with their favorite affirmations, they all loved it. Now, whenever they need a relaxing break or a confidence boost during the day, they can conveniently pop on headphones and listen to their affirmations. It makes it much more likely that they’ll do it and remain at ease throughout their day.

Because I love the ThinkUp App so much, I partnered with them and created positive affirmations just for teens. Since I have spent over twenty years working and living with teenagers, I know exactly what stresses teens out. I created the Healthy Habits Affirmations for teens to help teens break out of The Chronic Stress Loop, so they can create healthy habits, manage expectations better,  and be happier and healthier in school and beyond. I encourage you to sit down with your teen today and help them choose their positive affirmations for teens. It will help them navigate peer pressure better, make smarter decisions and boost their self-confidence.

Love Affirmations with ThinkUp app

The 7 most popular love affirmations

Are you looking for true love and healthy relationship? Try using love affirmations.

Many people in the world are looking for their soulmate and true love.

Research has shown for some time now that the first step to getting a good relationship is to start by loving yourself and increasing your self-confidence.

When you love yourself, your body resonates and attracts loving things into your life. Loving yourself and understanding your worthiness is a fundamental building block to having a healthy relationship full of love.

"The first step to getting a good relationship is to start by loving yourself and increasing your self-confidence."

One way to help change your mindset and your perspective about yourself so that you can attract the love you deserve is by using the Thinkup app.  Thinkup is a tool that helps you uplift your thoughts to positive ones.

Try using  ThinkUp app

Here’s how the app works. You start by selecting love affirmations from our list or even create your own affirmations.  Then you record the love affirmations using your own voice.  Research has shown that your voice is a powerful tool to help your brain accept new thoughts.  Your brain is actually more susceptible to ideas when the ideas are in your voice!

"I am learning to be thankful and grateful for the love in my life”

Love Affirmations can be anything from “Everyday I love myself a bit more”, “I accept myself exactly as  I am” or “ I am learning to be thankful and grateful for the love in my life”. Another approach would be affirmations such as “I deserve to be loved”, “I am a good person,” etc.

Affirmations for love and relatinship

If the suggested affirmations do not resonate with you, make up your own love affirmations. They must ring true to you. Otherwise, your body will reject them,  and the affirmations will not be effective. When you’re done recording you can choose your favorite relaxing music theme to go along with it. The music will engage your emotional part in the brain--limbic system. When you go to bed at night, turn on ThinkUp and let it play your personalized meditation repeatedly in a constant loop.  This so-called “inception” will spur new thoughts in your mind.

“Everyday I love myself a bit more”

Much like everything else - ThinkUp is a process. In order to witness its comprehensive impact, you need to give it time.
