The Power of Gratitude

An Attitude of Gratitude makes Life Beautiful and Meaningful…
Gratitude is the ability to say ‘Thank You’. To be thankful for what you have and thankful for the
wonderful opportunities life has presented to you. It is the ability to connect with yourself and
make the heart and the mind work on the same frequency. It means that you did something
right or you are at a level of energy where something works for you.

Why do so many researchers and studies show that practicing gratitude increases the level of happiness?

When you focus on the things that you are grateful for, you increase your level of energy and
allow more good things to walk into your life. When you practice gratitude every single day,
you increase your level of energy on a daily basis and then you start to magnate different
positive things into your life. Therefore, when you make this a daily practice you do not allow anything to “disturb” your calmness, and you unlock the code to happiness.

You don’t depend on the outside world for happiness and your happiness is steady and
completely in your control.

In addition, no one or no outside situation can harm you. Such a state of mind, makes you feel secure in the world. You have true happiness within you and no situation or no person can change that.
The secret is the balance between thinking and feeling. When you think of something pleasant
your body starts to react to it. So every positive thought filled with gratitude increases the level
of serotonin in your body and “opens your heart”.

The Challenge of feeling yourself with gratitude

The challenge is to start being grateful and thankful for all the wonderful things you have around you instead of focusing on the things that you don’t have. By practicing gratitude on a daily basis you can change the way you think and feel, and reprogram your mind, ultimately increasing your level of positive energy.
The final challenge is to start being grateful and direct your feelings positively towards the
things you don’t have. If you know how you feel when you have something or achieve
something, direct this feeling to every area in your life and achieve your desires by practicing
gratitude. In this case, gratitude means to be thankful for a future that is yet to manifest. When
you live a life of gratitude you unlock true happiness and begin your journey towards fulfillment.

Powerful affirmations

Powerful Affirmations for Success By Daphne Wallbridge

It is four o’clock in the morning. Most people might think I’m crazy
to be up this early. But for me, this time is sacred. It’s quiet in the house. I can focus with no interruptions. I have the freedom to explore my thoughts and ideas or I can just sit in silence and
relish my solitude.

Daphne, every day, you are taking the steps you need to live a
life filled with meaning and purpose. Your work devoted to
women’s self-leadership is helping thousands of women flourish
and thrive.”

Therefore, I have a ritual and I never deviate from it. I’m like an athlete preparing for an event. I sit at my desk and get ready to start my morning ritual. I turn on my essential oil diffuser and breathe in its
pure, therapeutic fragrance. Then, I launch into what I call my morning ‘power hour’ which sets the stage for the day ahead. My power hour is devoted to gratitude, journaling, learning, and
visualization. But there is one practice in particular that I find incredibly beneficial to my spiritual development: Powerful Affirmations
Powerful affirmations are a series of positive statements you say to yourself. Done properly, they have the power to shape your thoughts and rewire your brain so you can become the highest,
the truest version of yourself.
To help you craft your powerful affirmations, I’ve created a five-step process that will help you start on your own journey toward cultivating a powerful, positive mindset.

Powerful affirmations

powerful affirmations for success

Five Steps to Crafting the Perfect Powerful Affirmations

Step 1.

Focus on the details: when crafting your powerful affirmations, make sure to be specific. Write out exactly what it is you are accomplishing, how, and with whom.

Example: [Your name], you are engaging with highly skilled thought-leaders and as a result, you are developing key connections that will allow you thrive and flourish in your
marketing career.

Step 2.

Use action verbs: make sure your powerful affirmations describe a particular action. In doing so, you’re sending a signal to your brain that you need to act to get closer to your goal. Craft
every affirmation with action verbs and you’ll be on your way to creating a brilliant future.

Example: Engaging, flourishing, connecting, reaching, achieving…

Step 3.

Feel it: don’t recite your powerful affirmations like a robot. Rather, take the time to feel your words. Affirmations should be giving you goosebumps and create a sense of genuine hope and
accomplishment. This is the superpower of affirmations. If they aren’t stirring you from the inside, change them or tweak them.

Step 4.

Use the second person: as you read or recite your powerful affirmations, do so as if you are talking to a close friend. Life coach and author Brendon Burchard calls this “self-coaching.”
This practice is highly important to prime your mind and to generate self-motivation.

Example: [Julie], every day, you are taking the steps you need to meet your quarterly goal of landing three new clients.

Step 5.

Add visuals: if you want to boost the effectiveness of your affirmations, add an image that reflects the vision of your powerful affirmations. This will help crystallize the affirmation in your mind
and increase its positive effects. Plus, if you’re a visual learner, you’ll appreciate this extra step.
Although I have several ongoing positive affirmations in my journal, I often go back to this one. Feel free to adjust it to your needs and add it to your collection, or simply draw inspiration
from it.

” Daphne, your thoughts, actions, and words are
aligning with your destiny. You are where you need to be at this
moment in time and you are enjoying the journey to unlimited
growth and success.”

In this world in which we are constantly struggling to counter the potential negative effects of violence, war, and chaos, positive affirmations, done daily and mindfully, can prime your mind to be
open and receptive to whatever incredible opportunities may present themselves. They help broaden your awareness and propel you to flourish and thrive.

A call to action…

Take ten minutes out of your busy schedule and craft one personally-powerful affirmation. Start saying it and feeling it first thing in the morning and before going to bed at night. Start and end each day with this positive ritual. Then, wait for the magic to happen.

Affirmations for love and relatinship

The most popular affirmations for love and relationship

Are you looking for true love? Try using affirmations for love.

Many people in the world are looking for their soulmate and true love.

Research has shown for some time now that the first step to getting a good relationship is to start by loving yourself and increasing your self-confidence.

When you love yourself, your body resonates and attracts loving things into your life. Loving yourself and understanding your worthiness is a fundamental building block to having a healthy relationship full of love.

“The first step to getting a good relationship is to start by loving yourself and increasing your self-confidence.”

One way to help change your mindset and your perspective about yourself so that you can attract the love you deserve is by using the Thinkup app.  Thinkup is a tool that helps you uplift your thoughts to positive ones.

Try using  ThinkUp app

Here’s how the app works. You start by selecting affirmations for love and relationship from our list or even create your own affirmations.  Then you record the affirmations for love using your own voice.  Research has shown that your voice is a powerful tool to help your brain accept new thoughts.  Your brain is actually more susceptible to ideas when the ideas are in your voice!

“I am learning to be thankful and grateful for the love in my life”

Affirmations for love and relationship can be anything from “Everyday I love myself a bit more”, “I accept myself exactly as  I am” or “ I am learning to be thankful and grateful for the love in my life”. Another approach would be affirmations such as “I deserve to be loved”, “I am a good person,” etc.

Affirmations for love and relatinship

If the suggested affirmations do not resonate with you, make up your own affirmations for love and relationship. They must ring true to you. Otherwise, your body will reject them,  and the affirmations will not be effective. When you’re done recording you can choose your favorite relaxing music theme to go along with it. The music will engage your emotional part in the brain–limbic system. When you go to bed at night, turn on ThinkUp and let it play your personalized meditation repeatedly in a constant loop.  This so-called “inception” will spur new thoughts in your mind.

“Everyday I love myself a bit more”

Much like everything else – ThinkUp is a process. In order to witness its comprehensive impact, you need to give it time.

In addition, as a ThinkUp user, this app helped me become more positive and happier. In my happy moments, I recorded new affirmations and used them when I am down. Other users wrote to us that it helped them with obsessive thoughts, with their self-confidence, and, of course, with their relationships. Download the free version at the link below and give it a try.

positive affirmations at ThinkUp app

What are the most popular positive affirmations?

After three years of reading so many positive affirmations and getting thousands of emails about people’s challenges and successes, I would like to share the positive affirmations people love the most.

For all the people who are not familiar with ThinkUp: it is an app that helps you make your self-talk positive. In addition, with ThinkUp, you choose the mindset you would like to adopt, record positive affirmations in your own voice, and choose your favorite music to go along with them.

How does it work?

First, choose your affirmations and then record them. Once you’ve recorded your affirmation, we recommend listening to it at least once a day for one month. For better and longer-lasting results, listen to it when going to sleep, that is when your brain is generating Alpha brain waves. The Most important part is the repetition. Through repetition, you can rewire your brain and make your thinking patterns more positive.

A list  of the most popular positive affirmations on ThinkUp:

1.“I am grateful for the good things in my life.”   Chosen 20403 times

2.“I believe in myself.I have the ability to succeed.”    Chosen 20386 times

3.“The more I focus my mind on the good, the more good comes into my life.”  18083 times

4.“I love myself, respect myself, and accept myself exactly as I am.”   15828 times

5.“I accept myself and know that I am worthy of great things in life.”     15201 times

6.“I deserve to be happy and loved.”  13831 times

7.“I can accomplish anything I set my mind to.”          12264 times

8.“I am releasing all the negative emotions from my system.”    9294 times

9.“I am willing to step out of my comfort zone.”    9179 times

10.“I am letting go of all my worries and fears.”   8988 times

What should you do when you listen to yourself and the positive affirmations make you angry as if it is not true?

If a certain affirmation is provoking an angry or negative reaction, you can revise it and make it softer. For example, if your affirmation is “I love myself” and you don’t believe it when you hear it, try “every day I love my self a bit more.” Your mind will look for evidence that you love yourself more than yesterday.

Do you use positive affirmations? What is your favorite affirmation?

ThinkUp app makes you feel better

ThinkUp can make you feel better

As a CEO of the ThinkUp app, a leading app for developing a positive mindset, I have come across many exciting success stories. For instance, I heard that ThinkUp app has helped to reduce the symptoms of depression and anxiety and change people’s self-talk.

Following a conversation with a woman who is taking care of her dying husband, I was glad to discover ThinkUp app helped her overcome emotions of guilt as well as loneliness.

Our most exciting successful story

Recently, I heard about a family who arrived at Stanford hospital for necessary heart surgery for their infant child.

Just before of the surgery, the infant had an infection. This complicated the situation and obviously increased fear and stress amongst the parents. Their child was under anesthesia and connected to a respirator.

That day, I went to a conference, but I couldn’t focus. My mind was occupied with thoughts of the child. However, I was encouraged to call the family. I wanted to be of help, although in the moment I had no idea how I could do that.

Arriving at the hospital

Once I arrived at the hospital, I saw two desperate parents who were longing for any help they could get. The situation was miserable. They needed a miracle.

At the beginning, I explained my specialty.

“My dear child, I know that it is a hard time for you, but mommy loves you. Mommy wants to play with you and be with you for many years. Your brother misses you and wants to watch movies with you, and daddy wants to hold you and hug you.”

“I can make a soundtrack for your child that will give him power and strength that will eventually help his body.”At first, they looked at me as if I was talking about some magic. However, I explained to them that, the more positivity their child will come across, the more his brain can build a better immune system as shown by research.

It is not a standalone tool, and I don’t really know the reasons why Jonathan woke up a week later. However, I do know that he is well now, feeling better than ever. Instead of listening to his crying mother, he heard her voice reassuring to him, “My dear child, I know that it is a hard time for you, but mommy loves you. I want to play with you and be with you for many years. Your brother misses you and wants to watch movies with you, and daddy wants to hold you and hug you.”

The recording

We sat there for almost an hour and recorded little Jonathan’s beautiful meditation soundtrack. Mommy and Daddy got to encourage him with comforting phrases such as, “we love you, and need you to be strong for the family and for yourself. We would like to hug you and play with you again”. When the parents heard the track combined with very soft and relaxing music after recording it, they started to cry. In such an overwhelming situation, I think this was one of the only little hopes they had remaining.

He feels better

Now baby Jonathan is feeling much better, and my heart is bursting with joy because I created an app that can help people like Jonathan feel better. And this is not the only story. We have hundreds of successes ranging from losing 300 pounds to extraordinary recovery from cancer surgery. I am grateful for this app. It changed and continues to change my life and that of many other people. Consequently, my mission is to spread this positivity and positive self-talk to every corner of the world.

However, I cannot do this alone, change begins with a community. Please join our community of ThinkUp app and help spread and share our app to revolutionize the lives of many people around the globe.

If you find that one of your affirmations is creating tension or making you nervous, just revise them. Follow this simple process of repetition, listening, again and again, every day and successful results will follow.

affirmations for depression

Affirmations for depression and mental health by Joseph S. Fusaro

“I struggled with depression and mental illness most of my life.”

When I was younger I had some depression and ADHD. When finishing college I was officially diagnosed with depression, ADHD, and severe anxiety. This would last into my early 20’s. I was prescribed several medications, some of which were controlled substances. It didn’t take long until I was dependent and addicted to these medications.

In 2007 I decided to enter a rehab facility since I felt powerless to the medications. I went there because I was addicted to 2 medications. Ironically, I left this hospital after 3 weeks with 6 new prescriptions. These drugs would drain the life out of me for the next few months, and it only made sense to me to go back on the original medications because I figured that 2 meds that physically felt good were a lot better than taking 6 that put me into a barely conscious and mentally vegetative state.

“I had so much fear, anger, and resentment pent up inside me that I didn’t believe these affirmations.”

Playing this game of back and forth with my body and mind up until I was 30. The 2 controlled substances would eventually send me into a full blown manic episode with spurts of psychosis. At this point, I had just been released from what I think was my 9th or 10th hospital stay. I had an awakening that I could not live my life like this anymore. Those symptoms of depression can’t live in me anymore. There had to be another way. I understood that I did need something for my bipolar and insomnia, but I did not need to be on a handful of medications to numb me the rest of my life.

The breakthrough

Luckily, I was blessed with a Doctor that taught me meditation. He taught me self-compassion. Most importantly he taught me that I was worthy of love and that I deserved peace and happiness in my life as much as anyone else. I honestly didn’t know that before. I think that this is the problem for most people that live with a mental illness. We either lose our ability to love ourselves or aren’t born with the self-love that most others already have or develop naturally throughout their lives.

“Affirmations are about giving you the support and self-love you deserve”

Being honest, I have always loved to write so I started out journaling about gratitude, self-compassion, and “I am” statements. I would go on to write 3 poetry books about my recovery. This lead to listening to affirmation tracks when I went for walks and meditated. I would even let them play for an hour or so when I was falling asleep. I admit at first it was difficult to accept that these positive things were true but I felt it was starting to help me with my depression. I had so much fear, anger, and resentment pent up inside me that I didn’t believe these affirmations, but I knew that I wanted to feel these things more than anything else in the world.

Every time I turned them on it got easier. Affirmations are not about tricking your mind into believing you are a good person. They are about giving you the support and self-love you deserve that is sometimes difficult to find from others. As we all know, the easiest way to change the world is from within.

About 6 months ago I was considering creating my own affirmation tracks in my recording studio. I was told this idea to a friend when she enthusiastically blurted out, “ThinkUp App!” She then went on to explain to me that she had been using this App to record affirmations with her own voice, then play them back with her own music. Needless to say, I was thrilled. I went home, downloaded ThinkUp App, and I have been using it since.

affirmations for depression

My recommendations to reduce the symptoms of depression

  1. Start slowly.
  2. Pick out one or two things that you would like to improve in your life. Maybe in a week, re-record the same affirmations and see if there is a little more confidence in your voice. See if the words come out easier. There are no right and wrong ways to listen to affirmations. Just go with what feels right. There are some days where I’ll record 8 affirmations and go for a long walk, then on other days, I will only use one. I notice that in the last 6 months my confidence has greatly improved. I am experiencing less negative thought rumination. My mind is beginning to make positive connections, where at one time I could only make connections about everything that was not right in my life.
  3. There is something about using your own voice that has increased your confidence, self-love, and belief in yourself.
  4. I strongly believe that if you add Think Up App and affirmations to your mental health treatment it will really inspire movement into a positive and more productive you. I know that I will be using Think Up App for years to come. Wishing you all the best on your journey.
Practice your happiness

Soup of Happiness

What is happiness?
Can happiness be measured?
Is it possible to be in a state of everlasting happiness?

Happiness is a state of mind. It’s a practice, a concept and something that is beyond measure. There are things and people that make us happy but true happiness can only enter our lives when we allow it too. Yes, it can be controlled and the only person who can control it is you! The problem is that most people believe it’s things and other people that are responsible for our level of joy. When you bring in a paradigm shift towards your understanding of happiness and realize that nothing and no one can give you happiness, except you, then you will be in a forever state of happiness.

Happiness as a soup

Let’s look at this way- happiness is a delectable soup that requires 7 unique ingredients. If you want to perfectly cook it and make every day full of flavor and aroma, you need to bring in these 7 ingredients. While every ingredient in itself is capable of achieving happiness, a combination of all 7 is the perfect mix!

Are you ready to cook up some happiness?

Practice your happiness

Here are the 7 ingredients you will require…

1.Look at the fraction as a whole -Embrace what you have

Take it as an 80-20 formula! When something gives you 80% joy and 20% disappointment or unhappiness, focus on the 80% and look at it like it 100%. For example, when you have a baby 80% happiness comes in the form of love and 20% comes in the form of sleepless nights.  Expect only to 80% from any situation. Change the way you think and train yourself to love the unperfect. Every time you want life to be perfect change your perspective and accept the 80% as it 100%. Most of the time an expecting perfect situation will bring only suffer and disappointments. Train yourself to look at the imperfect situation as a perfect one.

2.Practice Positivity

Happiness comes by practice. When you consciously allow the positive thoughts to take over the negative and make a choice to only allow joy in your life, you will receive it! Every moment gives us a chance to be positive or negative- choose the positive. One way to practice positivity is by the ThinkUp app.

3.Make a Difference!

There are so many people around us who need help. Donating money to a cause or volunteering to help those in need brings in a sense of satisfaction and joy that is unmatched to happiness received by material things. You can help someone with good advice or just your empathy. Try it, you will feel much better.

4.Learn and Grow Every day

Never stop learning and never stop growing as an individual. Allow new things and experiences to open up your mind to newer possibilities. Create yourself every day and do something you may have never done or even thought off. Never stop expanding your horizons.

5.Make Someone’s day, every day!

Every day of life is a new challenge and a new opportunity to help someone or make someone’s day. Reach out to anyone around you who may need your help. Be open and approachable and be someone that people seek when in need.

6.Bring out the Child within!

All of us have a little child inside who is waiting to be let out! Play, sing, dance, run, laugh, love, paint, create… do everything the child in you wants to do. Don’t stop the child from being a child. Be a child and embrace the child within you.

7.Reflect and Introspect

Sometimes our happiness gets hidden or buried under other emotions. Take out time to just relax, reflect and introspect about life. Talk to yourself and slowly unburden the mind until it finds its way to the top. Remove everything that is hiding and make it shine and radiate it through all your senses.

These are the 7 unique ingredients that guarantee true happiness in life! Cook it up and nourish your mind and body every day. It’s delicious, addictive and something you don’t want to miss! Happiness is in every corner, waiting to be found and embraced… don’t ignore it! Seek it in everything you do, allow your inner happiness to be the main element in your life and you will never stop being happy. Do you want to be happy? Yes, of course! SO BE!

As you probably know, happiness already exists within you; all you have to do is find it! Be positive, think positive and allow only positivity to rule your life. You are in charge of how you feel and if you decide to feel happy, nothing can stop you! ThinkUp app team

Find Satisfaction with ThinkUp

How to increase your life satisfaction.

All we want in life is to find satisfaction. We are raised to believe that more money, a better job or finding true love is the secret to leading a more satisfied life. But the answer isn’t found in material objects or other people, but rather within ourselves, who we are, and what we do.

“Satisfaction is a skill that needs to be developed by practicing”

Satisfaction is a skill that needs to be developed by practicing, like our other muscles or skills we may have. In order to find satisfaction, first, try to develop gratitude and gratefulness as a skill. Complaining all the time and focusing on your challenge will decrease your energy level. Furthermore, it will continue to make your problem continue to grow.

If you would like to stop the process of being unsatisfied, I suggest you to start finding positive things in everything you do. Try to learn how to focus on the good things and practice that skill daily.

Let me share with you my personal story.

While I was in my 20’s I received my degree and started to work in a high tech company as an engineer. I earned a lot of money, especially for a newly graduated student, had a boyfriend that I loved, and had a nice job. But my soul felt that something was imprecise and still missing in my life.

Then, for the first time of my life, I felt that something was “wrong” with me.

“Start finding positive things in everything you do”

Find Satisfaction with ThinkUp

“How could it be that everything was in my hand, I have everything I wanted and yet still feel miserable”?
”How could it be that all of the creation stands for me and yet I am still complaining?

This job probably wasn’t my purpose or one of my strengths but 20 years later I look at things a bit differently. My suggestion is to find the happiness inside of yourself. The outside circumstances never make you happy if you are not trained to be happy. We all find reasons to be unhappy but if you want to enjoy the life and find the satisfaction I suggest you to focus your mind on the things make you feel uplifted, stronger, and empowered you.

Life doesn’t need to be perfect.

5 Ways To Cure Sleeping Problems

5 Ways To Overcome Sleeping Problems

In this busy world, sleeping problems have become a common phenomenon. According to studies done at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, over 40 million struggle with insomnia or sleeping problems. A lack of sleep is directly connected to a person’s ability to be productive throughout the day. Sleep is important because it allows a person’s body and brain to restore and repair itself.

If you struggle with sleeping problems, there are five activities you can try to help eliminate the issue altogether.

1.Develop a positive thinking to overcome sleeping problems

Maybe you can’t stop thinking about the worries of the day. Instead of turning out the lights and worrying, try positive thinking. Banish negative self-talk. Stop beating yourself up over your perceived mistakes and focus on ways you can move forward. Thinking positive before going to sleep is a good start to sleeping well at night. One way to change your thinking patterns to positive is by using ThinkUp app

It is difficult to relax until changing your mindset. One way to reprogram the mind for positivity is by using the ThinkUp app. ThinkUp helps you change your thoughts from negative to positive. ThinkUp has inspiring and personalized affirmations built in, or you can add your own. Listen to your affirmations nightly before bed to get your sleep off to the right start.

2.Catch your breath

You’d be surprised how much you can hold in all because you don’t consciously breathe in and out. When subconsciously holding the breath, your body tenses up and it puts you in a negative space. Try to release the breath and allow fresh air to come in. Don’t forget to take deep breaths.Breathing exercises are a recommended way to relax anywhere, anytime, including bedtime. One way to breathe is to breathe in through your nose for a count of 4, hold your breath for a count of 7 and release your breath from your mouth for a count of 8.Without a break, breathe in again for a count of 4, repeating the entire technique 7 times in a row, then resume normal breathing and activity.

3.Laugh it out

Laughter truly is medicine for the soul. Even if you’re not in the mood to laugh, try watching funny movies before bedtime. Watching an old favorite movie with good memories can be like spending time with old friends. You can try a new flick to enjoy some new laughs. Either way, funny movies can cheer you up and help you forget the worries of the day. This will lighten your mood and help you release your stress.

4.Start a bedtime routine

If you normally take a shower in the morning, try making it part of your bedtime routine instead. After you take a hot shower, put on some relaxing music and clean, comfortable nightclothes. A consistent routine lets the body know that it is time for bed. Some people even listen to relaxing music to help them ease into a peaceful night’s sleep.

5.Meditation

Many people use meditation to help form a clear, quiet mind. Take 15 minutes in the morning and/ or at night to be still and to quiet your mind. Practicing meditation will get you in a better and more consistent habit of focusing.

Quieting the mind helps you in the practice of being still. A lot of times, the mind is filled with the stress of the day. Instead of holding a bunch of chaos in your mind, it’s better to let go of it. You don’t need to be in a dark room to quiet your mind either. This is something that can be done anywhere with intentionality and practice.

There are many useful apps like headspace, calm or Deepak Chopra and Oprah Winfrey’s meditations which I found very relaxing and useful for quieting the mind.
